Really Bad

Downloaded free eBook on computer, not an easy task. Downloaded Ap to read book on I phone, Impossible to do as the Ap does not allow you to sign in. Deleted Ap.

Waste of time

Downloaded because of free book offer from Simon and Schuster. While able to download book, I am unable to read it since the app keeps freezing and shutting down. Honestly, this app is not even worth one star since it doesnt even work.

Limited

At least the app opens for me and I am able to read. But formatting is poor and there is no way to change font size so its basically one paragraph at a time on the screen.

Get a clue

I am trying to read a book on here and I like reading in bed with the background black. But, in this app when you reach the end of a paragraph at half page or so, the bottom half pops out as white blinding you and spoiling the read. Also there is no search and no page marker, big omissions!

Needs page turning software

I just downloaded the app after getting a free book from S&S. The book downloaded fine, but I miss the "page turning" feature which I love on my Kindle app. Please add that to your next software update, and I may start reading on your app.

Love what you guys are trying to build with this app.

Cool app

Ton of free books and I love the highlight feature ;)

nasaya

Unable to fit page on screen and scrolling too difficult to follow how it works.

Free books

Offer a ton of great free books and you can start anything for free too :D I like it!

Not bad, but not great either

I started using Glose when I redeemed a free book offer. It bills itself as a "social reading" app, but I havent found any desire to use it for more than just regular reading... Perhaps that makes me anti-social. I like that it has a night mode that inverts the colors to provide white text against a black background, as this is easier on my eyes. I wish it had an option to set the text and background colors directly though, or that it offered more built-in color combinations (yellow on black, for example). I also like that it has options to change the font size, but the range of sizes is fairly small. I wish it had an option when opening the app to immediately resume where I left off in the book I was reading, rather than having to reselect the book and then select the "read book" option each time. I also wish it would display images inline with the text, instead of showing an image link that displays the image when you touch it; and I wish it would allow advancing to the next chapter with a swipe, rather than requiring a visit back to the table of contents to move on. Ive also noticed that when I resume reading a book, whether its because I restarted the app or switched back to it after running another in the foreground, Glose doesnt bring me back to the right location in the book. Its always at least several, and sometimes very many, pages earlier than where I actually left off reading... So then I have to swipe forward to try to find my spot. Another annoyance: automatically highlighting blocks of text if my finger happens to touch the screen. I wish this option could be disabled. Overall Id say its neither a great, nor a terrible, reading app. It has a few annoyances and could benefit from some additional options/features. The social aspect of the app may appeal to some people, but not me.
